"दबंग" के लिए काफी तैयारी कर रही है सोनाक्षी

फिल्म “दबंग” में बॉलीवुड अभिनेता सलमान खान के साथ काम कर रही अभिनेता शत्रुƒन सिन्हा की बेटी सोनाक्षी सिन्हा ने इस फिल्म के लिए काफी तैयार की हैं। सोनाक्षी की इस फिल्म के लिए तैयारियां पिछले दो वर्षों से जारी थीं। सलमान खान की सलाह पर वह अपनी बॉडी को शेप देने में लगी थीं और इस फेर में उन्होंने लगभग 30 किलो वजन कम किया हैं। इस संदर्भ मे वह कहती है, मैं जानती थी कि यह काम आसान नहीं होगा, लेकिन परिश्रम, समर्पण और इच्छाशक्ति की बदौलत मैं ऎसा करने में सफल रहीं। पिछले दो सालों से संतुलित खानपान और कडा वर्कआउट मेरी जिंदगी का अहम हिस्सा बन गया है। इस फिल्म में सोनाक्षी गांव की एक दबंग लडकी का किरदार निभा रही हैं। इस पात्र को वास्तविकता का पुट देने के लिए उन्होंने काफी होमवर्क किया है। वह बताती है कि वर्कआउट के अलावा मैंने लोगों की आदतों और आचार-व्यवहार का बारीकी से अध्ययन किया है। इसके अलावा फिल्म के निर्देशक अभिनव के साथ काफी रिहर्सल की है। “दबंग” की शूटिंग नवंबर के पहले हफ्ते से शुरू हो रही हैं।

Once upon a time in Mumbai

Once upon a time in Mumbai, a forthcoming film directed by Milan Luthria and starring Ajay Devgan,[1] Emraan Hashmi,[2] Prachi Desai,[3] and Kangana Ranaut co-produced by Suniel Shetty’s Popcorn Entertainment and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, will highlight the emergence of organised crime in the city in the yesteryears.This film is slated for release in 2010.

The film draws its theme from the lives of these three gangsters who ruled the streets of the Bombay that once resonated with the Haji Mastan, Karim Lala and Varadarajan Muniswami Mudaliar.

“The film will portray a period in Mumbai when the city first saw what organised crime was and the extent of violence it can cause,” says Milan. “Our film is based on what the city went through in that period, how suddenly the gangsters ruled the streets and people were terrified. Though it is a gangster movie, it will also show the contemporary cabaret culture of the city”

Kangana plays the character inspired by yesteryear actress Sona, girlfriend of renowned gangster on 1970’s Haji Mastan..Ajay Devgan plays the character of Haji Mastaan.

Parallel to the main plot will be the story of Mastan’s unrequited love during the 60s for Indian actress Madhubala.[8] She never returned his feelings, and after her tragic death in 1969, Mastan was devastated. He later married starlet Sona, a Madhubala look-a-like who he later launched in films.

Watch out for Kangana’s unique and never seen before retro look in the film while Ajay Devgan plays his role of a gangster with a very typical elan he has come to be loved for.

संगीत जगत की रानी अनुराधा पौडवाल का आज जन्मदिन हैं। इनका जन्म 27 अक्टूबर 1954 में हुआ था। अनुराधा पौडवाल बॉलीवुड में एक लोकप्रिय गायक के रूप में जानी जाती हैं। वे लता मंगेशकर और आशा भोंसले के बाद प्रमुख पाश्र्व गायिकाओं में से एक हैं। अनुराधा पहली गायिका थी, जो मंगेशकर परिवार के मुकाबले में थीं।
अनुराधा ने अरूण पौडवाल से विवाह किया, जो उनके सहायक के रूप में संगीत निर्देशक एसडी बर्मन के साथ काम कर रहे थे। उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरूआत 1973 में फिल्म “अभिमान” से की। अनुराधा ने न केवल हिंदी फिल्मों में बल्कि मराठी और गुजराती फिल्मों में भी अपना सुर दिया हैं। उनहें फिल्म “दिल है कि मानता नहीं”, “उत्सव”, “बेटा” और “आशिकी” के लिए “नेशनल फिल्म फेयर अवॉर्ड” से नवाजा गया हैं।

Indian Catering companies and Vegetarian, Buffet, BBQ Indian Caterers

This is a quick one because I’m still quite amazed at what I saw in this Indian event that I didn’t go to. I was invited to an Indian wedding this week somwhere near London (don’t remember exactly where)- It was a sikh wedding, in which another one of UK’s top shot sikh guys were getting married.

My friend went and he got some pics. I can’t explain what that wedding was. You can imagine the best 5-7 star hotel, full of the most elite, and still you won’t grasp it fully. The venue rocked – It was decorated like an Arabian village and guess what? It was a marquee, not a building at all. I have seen marquee weddings in India and I’ve seen some awesome ones, but I have never seen anything like this.

What I’m going to do next is ask my friend to get me some pics on a usb and I’ll upload them here, then you’ll see what I mean. The Indian catering company who also does marquee design really bowled me over. I guess I need to find the name of that company and publish it for people to see.

Talking of weddings and catering – My cousin is getting married in Jan in India. That is happy news. Good good – lots of marriages to attend to and lots of yummy Indian food.

Purab Kohli, who has stolen hearts of millions worldwide with his ever so fresh appearances, super natural performances and ultra cool VJing skills. Read on as he talks to us about he made his journey exciting right from the HIP HIP HURRAY days to ROCK ON. Lets not forget food, yepp. He loves food, so why spoil the fun. Get reading people.

1. VJ, Model, Actor… Long journey. Could you put some light on important events that took place during the journey?

The first important event was doing my first TV show Hip Hip hurray. I had no plans to do anything with cinema or television. Next will have to be Channel V, I was with them for 8 yrs. I pretty much grew up on music television. My Brother Nikhil is the film that made me decide to be an actor and Rock On, got things rocking.

2. How did the VJ thing take off?
Things have always happened very randomly for me. So did channel V. And I got some great shows to work on.

3. How did ROCK ON happen?
Again randomly a friend of mine asked me to get in touch with Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) and I sent him an sms. Next thing I knew I was part of the biggest film of last year.

4. Coming to food, do you cook? If yes, whats your current favorite?
Yes. A simple pasta or a light salad, it’s getting too hot for anything else.

5. Best friends in the entertainment industry that share the same food interests like you.
I love food and most people I’ve met in the business love food too. I think as Indians we love FOOD so even enemies become friend around a good meal

6. Foods for moods. Whats your pick?

a. Happy = chocolate
b. Sad = chocolate
c. Excited = chocolate
d. Jealous = chocolate
e. Wicked = chocolate
f. Romantic = chocolate.

7. Weirdest thing that you have put in your mouth and actually swallowed it and where?
Weird is very relative. I’ve eaten some crazy stuff in Thailand and not had a problem but boiled sweet potato really does not go down my throat I find the texture very weird.

8. Do you keep House Parties, where do you call your food?
All the time. We usually cook our selves or get the cook to make some stuff like kebabs. Sometimes we order from outside from Kakori house or Jaffar bhai’s. Gajali also delivers all over Mumbai.

9. Best places in Mumbai that best serve the following cuisines.

a. Indian – Too vast to name in one place
b. Chinese – Golden Dragon

c. Italian – My mother in-laws house
d. Fusion - Do we have any fusion restaurants here? Don’t know.
e. Chaats – Tiwari Bros, Karachi for pani puri on hill road, Chaurasiya for sev puri on Perry cross road, Bandra.
f. Asian – Wasabi for Japanese, Pan Asian at the Maratha Sheraton.

g. Cakes and Cookies - I really like the tea and cakes at Candies. Simple and yummy. I prefer home baked cookies.

h. Seafood – Gazali, Highway Gomantak.

i. Saatvik - At my home or my dad’s place. Rama Nayak at Matunga Station.

j. Coffee and Sandwiches – Coffee again at my house is the best. Sandwich I think the Bombay Baking Company at the JW Marriott.

10. What drives you to do so well in your career? Any inspiration or a quote you would like to share.
I think I enjoy what I do so I guess that keeps me going. A good quote I heard recently “Destiny is just an excuse for letting things happen instead of making them happen”

11. Could you tell us what makes you fit in terms of fitness and diet?
Any physical activity for 45 minutes to an hour a day everyday and many small meals mostly at home.

12. Where and when do we get to see you again?
Hide and Seek in December 2009.

13. Some cool tips on food and frolic for our foodees.
Try Highway Gomantak in Bandra east and Rama Nayak at Matunga. They are not fancy but into yummy food.

Yeah…This was the sudden fame!! We were invited by MY FM 94.3 to perform o its Anniversary!! Whoa!! And guess what was the surprise!!?? SONU KAKKAR was coming to perform along with us…Whoa!!

Ya, SONU KAKKAR-remember the famous number “Babuji jaara Dhire chalo” from DUM..Ya,she’s the singer. And recently she sang the title song of BLUE-ya tat Akshay’s flick!! Whoa…

Gawd!! Somebody pinch me..She came with her cousin bro. She was down to earth celeb with zero-ego!! She never acted weird as the usual celeb does. She was calm and quite-gave us a warm greeting smile when we were together for Sound-check. Whoa!!

And during the show-time,I came to know she was really good..she talked with us really well as we were sitting together in the Green room. She rocked Bilaspur with her songs..and so did we. I was busy taking her videos, and lo!! I didn’t took a single snap with her and not even her autograph!!? Now I regret like Hell..heheheeee…..

She wanted to have a click with the band too..but the crowds she had to run away.

Anyways…the 27th Sept is still like a dream to me.I never thought one day I would sit next to a Bollywood singer and chatting so well. Somebody pinch me.

रणबीर के लिए कपूर होना ही पर्याप्त नहीं: ऋषि कपूर

बॉलीवुड के मशहूर अभिनेता ऋषि कपूर का कहना है कि उनके अभिनेता बेटे रणबीर कपूर के लिए केवल कपूर परिवार से होना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है बल्कि उन्हें अपनी प्रतिभा और मेहनत के दम पर ही फिल्मी दुनिया में जगह बनानी होगी।
ऋषि कपूर ने कहा कि रणबीर को एक अभिनेता के रूप में खुद को साबित करना होगा। राज कपूर का पुत्र होने के बावजूद मेरे लिए कुछ भी आसान नहीं रहा। विगत 40 वर्षो से में खुद को साबित कर रहा हूं।
रणबीर की हालिया रिलीज फिल्म “वेक अप सिड” को दर्शकों और आलोचकों की काफी सराहना मिल रही हैं। इस पर ऋषि कपूर ने कहा, इस फिल्म को देखने के बाद कई लोगों ने फोन करके मुझे मुबारकबाद दी। मैं अब दर्शको के फैसले की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा हूं।
