Prakash Raj beats Aamir and SRK

Fight for the National Awards for Best Actor have finally came to zero with a twist that was never expected. Earlier sources from media strongly projected that it would be either Shah Rukh Khan for Chak De India or Aamir Khan for Taare Zameen Par winning the prestigious title.

Due to the recent tragic death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajashekar Reddy the actual annoucements were postponed. But the new news is that both the Khans have lost to South Indian actor Prakash Raj.

Prakash Raj has been in the spotlight with his outstanding piece of work in Priyadarshan’s film Kanchivaram projecting him as a silk weaver. The South Indian actor had earlier made his presence in Hindi cinema with Amitabh Bacchan starrer Khakee featuring him in a negative role. Now, the actor has been roped in for the similar role in Salman Khan starrer Wanted.

Earlier also the actor had received the National award of Best Supporting Actor for his amazing performance in Manirathnam’s Iruvar where the actor portrayed the role of present chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi.

Charging 12 crore Per Endorsement for one year and after endorsing Samsung mobile phones, Aamir Khan will now be the Brand Ambassador for Tourism Ministry’s Atithi Devo Bhava campaign. At the same time SRK is the brand ambassador for Nokia and the new Nokia mobile phones that are going to come in India shortly are Noika N900 and Nokia 5230.
